Even before you begin your course, it’s important to think about how you’ll cope with any challenges you might experience as a student in EES. We know you’re excited to be starting on a new venture, but you’re also probably a bit nervous. Almost everyone also experiences some homesickness or anxiety at some point over the first few weeks or months, and it’s completely normal to have some ups and downs.
Although we want to encourage you to achieve your full potential, we also appreciate that as high-achieving students (yes, that’s you!) the pressure to succeed can become overwhelming at times. Please don’t suffer in silence! We want you to have a positive and happy experience at Exeter, so please let us know if anything is worrying you. There are lots of places you can go to access help and support with your wellbeing and in this section we’ll summarise what’s available, with some prompts about things you might like to think about before you embark on your programme of study.
